Display Check

A guided grading suite for a monitor, TV, or laptop screen. Enter a full-screen pattern for each check - stuck and dead pixels, backlight bleed and uniformity, OLED burn-in, response-time ghosting, and color banding - look at it, then mark Pass or Problem. The tool also reads what your display and browser advertise for HDR and wide gamut, and rolls everything into one grading report for your IT team. Nothing is installed.

Privacy: Every test pattern renders in this browser tab. Screen and capability values are read and displayed but never transmitted; this page makes no network requests. Press Esc at any time to exit a full-screen overlay. View source to verify.
How to read these checks honestly: Checks 1-5 are guided visual inspections - the browser draws the pattern, and you judge what you see. A browser has no light sensor, so the tool cannot objectively measure backlight bleed, burn-in, or response time in numbers; it shows you the right pattern and records your call. Run the backlight-bleed check in a dark room for a fair read. The HDR / wide-gamut check is a capability read of what the display and browser advertise, not a picture-quality grade.

HDR and wide-gamut capability (auto)

This is what your display and browser advertise through matchMedia and screen - a capability read, not a measurement of picture quality. A monitor can claim HDR and still tone-map poorly; a browser that does not understand a query reports it as unsupported.
