Keyboard Layout Test

Detects the character layout your PC is actually using - US, UK, AZERTY, or QWERTZ - and flags a mismatch against the hardware you expect. This is the software setting that quietly makes a machine type a quote when you press @, or swaps Y and Z, breaking passwords and email addresses on otherwise identical fleet images. Different from the Keyboard Test, which checks whether each physical key registers; this checks which character each key produces.
