Touchscreen Test

A free test page for any touchscreen: a phone, tablet, all-in-one, kiosk, POS terminal, or 2-in-1 laptop. Confirms touch registers, maps whether the whole screen responds (dead zones are the usual complaint), and checks whether multi-touch works. Useful when one corner stops responding, a protective film blocks part of the digitizer, or pinch-to-zoom quits after a driver update.

Privacy: All touch and pointer events are processed locally and discarded as soon as the test ends. No touch traces, coordinates, or device fingerprints are transmitted. View source to verify.

Configuration

Driver: Browser Pointer Events API (Touch Events fallback)

Takes about 30 seconds (most of it is you tapping and dragging across the screen). All input stays in this browser tab; nothing is uploaded.

Touch points register across the screen

Tap and drag across the whole capture area. Each grid cell fills in when it is touched, so dead zones stand out.

Drag your finger across every part of the box below. Reach into all four corners and the edges. Each grid cell turns green when a touch lands in it, so any cell left gray is a spot the screen did not register. Use several fingers at once if you like. Tap Done when you have covered the whole area.

Multi-touch works

Measured from the capture above: the most simultaneous touches seen at once. 2 or more means multi-touch works.
