NFC Tag Test

A free test page for reading an NFC tag in your browser - a tap-to-review tag, a menu or product tag, or a business-card tag. On an Android phone or tablet with Chrome or Edge, this tool uses the Web NFC API to read the tag and show exactly what is on it: each NDEF record and its decoded URL or text. NFC reading in the browser is Android-only, so this test is honestly scoped to Android.

Privacy: The NFC tag's contents are read and shown only in this browser tab, then discarded when the test ends. Nothing is logged, stored, or transmitted, and this page never opens a URL or runs anything from a tag. NFC reading happens entirely on your Android device. View source to verify.

Testing a USB NFC reader on a PC? This reads a phone or tablet's built-in NFC, not a reader plugged into a desktop. If your USB reader types a tag or fob number like a keyboard, use the Barcode Scanner Test (or the Card Reader Test if it reads a magnetic stripe). A contactless smart-card reader (ACR122U, HID Omnikey, most key-card encoders) needs its vendor's driver and cannot be reached from a browser - the USB Device Test can at least confirm the PC detects it.
